Our grading standard

What each grade means, how far we can restore each part of a phone, and what happens if something goes wrong. It's written down so you know what to expect before you send us a single phone.

The grading scale

Every phone gets two grades: one for the screen and one for the body. Both use the same scale, from A (like new) down to D (barely functional).

C3

Rough or broken surfaces, like a cracked screen that makes the phone hard to use.

What we can do

  • Screens: restored up to A
  • Bodies: restored up to B1 or B2
  • Screens: from C2 or C3, restored up to A

  • Bodies: from C2 or C3, restored up to B1 or B2

A
Perfect. Like new, straight from the store. The top of the scale.
B1
A minuscule scratch.
B2
A visible scratch.
B3
Like B2, but worse: deeper or more noticeable scratches.
C1
Scratches and patches of missing paint.
C2
Chipped corners and deeper scratches.
C3
Rough or broken surfaces, like a cracked screen that makes the phone hard to use.
D
Barely functional. The bottom of the scale.

If something goes wrong

Our policies, in plain words.

If a phone is damaged in our care
We repair it ourselves, at our cost, and return it to you in perfect condition.
Reaching the highest grade
We work every phone toward the highest grade it can reach. Screens graded C2 or C3 can be restored as far as A, and bodies as far as B1 or B2. Some phones reach the top grade and some don't, so we never promise a grade for every phone.
